Last 6 months i traveled alot between hills and mountains around here, first because i love mountains panorama, i like to taste some local kitchen dishes, and i love so much to be into the nature. Taking with me my trusty Canon EOS 6D MkII and my unseparable DJI Mavic Pro, i realized that to photograph or record videos of mountains, monuments on hills, and breathtaking panoramas, we not need to fly so much high, but we have to choose wisely the scene, think for the correct day light, and study for the most incredible scene composition.
Best moments to take pictures flying over monuments or valleys are few minutes after sunrise, or some hour before the sunset, when the sunlight is nearly horizontal and shadows are well visibles and much longer than in the central day hours.
A good distance from an objective is around 80-120 meters, and a good height is between 30 and 50 meters. Use manual settings fo the camera and search wisely the perfect shot.
So, for do this in a better way, i found very useful to change from using a simple smartphone on the MP rc, with much better Asus Zenpad 8 tablet, that has a very brighter screen and better resolution.
Here's some of my best images (I publish each image in a new reply not to weigh too much on the initial post...).
Hope you like my effort.
