After several days without being able to fly due to the weather, I started to miss it and then just took off. Did not expect to get useful shots out of the trip, but of course nevertheless filmed it all. Very windy and quite cool despite plenty of sunshine. I had a hard job keeping my Mavic steady in the air, both standing still and flying, and it does not give good recordings. Here are the best clips from the trip and if nothing else some good music.

Nice flying in some strong winds.  I mostly noticed some wind caused movement when you flew right to left along that river.   Other directions seemed quite steady.

Didn't you notice how the drone jumped up and down when it was near the ground and how unstable it was in the air? I had a hard time controlling it but also some fun time doing this.

BTW, we don't have rivers this big in Denmark. This is a lake, and the only river in DK is called 'Gudenåen', which in fact runs through the lake. In addition to the river we have a large number of smaller streams.

Good job looks pretty windy alright, I sat most of the day on the side of a mountain playing with my iPad waiting for the wind here to drop to do some work surveying some wind turbines, it never happened, so back again tomorrow.
I do notic from going around wind farms that most of the wind turbines are made in Denmark.

Anyways excellent flying.

Nice work. Some of those larger trees where sure moving. Mavic did a great job in those conditions. Nice are also.

Every time its windy by me I always wonder if I should go up or stay down. Eventually I send it up but usually just to practice flying in windy conditions.

Regarding the wind turbines, I believe you. For a number of years, Denmark was well-known in the world for the production and development of these huge constructions. I'm not sure it's the same today.

It's fun but also a little exciting to fly in windy weather. Today, I did not have the courage to fly over the lake. However, the best results of recordings are only obtained when there is no wind.

I agree completely on getting best footage during a calm day and I to get a little nervous about flying over water when its windy. I just picture a strong gust flipping my bird over and it go into the water.

Once flew my Inspire V1 in high wind wow was crapping my self, when I was coming into land it was tilting to compensate for the wind "and I mean tilting) thought I would crash it while landing

Exactly Exib - I had the same scared feeling yesterday. Despite the fact that some think negativ about DJI drones, I believe they are just something special when it comes to stability.

The tall grasses and the tops of the trees tossing in the wind give us some idea of the difficulty of the conditions. At least it wasn't raining!   Thanks for the share.

If it's raining I don't fly at all. If I'm really brave and daring, I might want to try flying in the winter while there is a light snowfall - but never in the rain.

In about an hour, I will drive to Tange Lake again. I will try to get to one side of where I have not yet been. When I look at the weather forecast in my area, it seems that after today there will be more than a week before I can fly again.
