It’s hard to guess. But it could be a new Mavic. Maybe with a better camera and new design.

Better not be a better Air...I just bought one! lol Seriously though it sounds like the Mavic Pro is due for an update. Rear sensors and built-in memory?!? To me these features on the Air will be pushed out to models released from here on out.

I think it's a new design prosumer grade drone myself - fingers crossed

It won’t be Mavic air 2 it will be Pro 2 or something even bigger. But what ever it is does not matter i am happy with my Mavic air. Well only this .0400 firmware messed it up a bit but i am sure they will fix it soon.
I will keep air as long as i can or until it decides to fly away. Then i get something new.

It's possible that the Spark might be getting an overhaul or an add to the line, where did the rumour mill start on the new product?

Yeah, but nothing as commercially successful as the Mavic's and given the original is nearly 21 months old now the whole drone community are anticipating a 2nd gen of the Mavic Pro.

It already has - it's called the Mavic Air.

No matter what it is I don’t see Giving up my Inspire any time soon.

my guess is that it is a mavic pro 2 with an upgraded sensor, along with it will come a slightly bigger battery for 35 mins of flight time, i think it will also come with new rear sensors, and a slight redesign which may be slightly more sleek, akin to the Air but bigger! the cryptic message "see the bigger picture" would suggest that whatever is announced is due to come with a new bigger sensor, and rumours have been doing the rounds for months that the mavic will get a 1/1.7" 24mm sensor, im keeping my fingers crossed

Yeah, but they just released the Phantom 4 Pro V2, that's why I am not thinking this is another Phantom announcement. Could be wrong - I was wrong once, some time back in 1984...well...I was not wrong, just merely mistaken...I guess there was that whole Mordor thing...

Yeah but the mp2 has been in beta testing for over 6 months now so it would be time for them to release it around the same time as the autel evo. The reason Sony is out of 1 inch sensors is because Dji bought them all a long time ago for the p4p and the new to come mp2 . Not sure if dji had enough sensors to run the mp2 line yet or not. If they do not the mp2 will not be released yet till they do,or maybe they will do a pre order like they have done with other birds, meaning you’ll get it when they get the sensors from Sony. The sensor is the only reason autel won’t come with a 1 inch sensor yet. Hard to say for sure what will be released but it’ll be something to compete with other companies.

If it is a Mavic 2, I just hope rumors saying it will be bigger is wrong.
The current Mavic Pro JUST fits in a photobag sized for largest possible carry-on luggage also carrying my DSLR camera and three lenses for it, plus a laptop. Anything bigger is a no-go.

i need to buy one in the next few days. can't decide though. had phantom 4 and was supper happy with it but it's bulky to carry around and start shooting. what should I do now? i can't really decide between mavic air (as a somewhat safe-buy because of the announcement) or p4pv2. yet, what if they release p5? i'll go mad
on the other hand. i can go with less expensive air and wait for bigger p5 or similar.
