Hi guys,

I have a question with regards to the Asteriod Mode in Quickshot on Mavic Air.

Does the (quickshot) asteroid mode allow 2.7k shooting on mavic air? I tried a few time, the video that came out in my phone is only 1920 x 1080, even though it is set at 2.7k.

I tried other quickshot mode (dronie, helix, rocket), I was able to film it in 2.7k video quality. But it does not work for asteriod mode.

Please help.

No - auto 1080p and auto exposure. I believe the reason is that quick shots are designed to post to social media as quickly as possible so anything higher that FHD will take a long time. They are more for fun than serious editing in post hence: QUICK shots.

Hello there. I appreciate your time bringing this query to us. Can you provide some screenshot of what you're seeing on your app when you're trying to use the Asteroid mode?

I just checked this out this morning winds 55kph , really risky,  in .21 all quickshot modes with the exception of asteroid record in whatever you choose, also if you are recording in 4K your settings now remain as they were, so no longer do they stay on 1080p as discussed yesterday, modes I tried boomerang, dronie circle, didn’t try helix was in a confined space, but yes it seems only asteroid records in 1080p.

Hi,

I notice that some user was able to fly Asteriod in 4K mode. Do you know why?

His asteroid will not be recorded in 4K although telemetry said 4K this is because he was in 4K settings before he recorded. I have checked this out and it only records in 1080p.

That's good to know as I don't upload to social media. I wonder why only Asteroid is 1080p - perhaps they'll change that too. I'll be heading out later today so I'll do a Helix in 4K - that's cool.
