Hi all,

Really hoping somebody can help me here. I have an Inspire 1 Pro with the X5 Camera. I have had it for 6 Months with no issues at all, however this weekend I was filming and the first flight went great, then the second flight I could not get the live view through the dji go app or access any of the camera controls. All other functions are fine, I can fly the drone, move the gimbal, just no live view and camera buttons are all greyed out. Instead of a live view I get a black screen with a white DJI Logo. Also there are no warnings regarding no image transmission etc.

Hello there. We apologize if you're having some issues with your app right now. Did you try to re-mount the X5? Did you also try to reinstall the app? Can you provide to me the firmware version of the aircraft, remote and app?

Hi Wanda,

Yes I have taken the x5 off and on countless times since it happened, and yes reinstalled the app across multiple devices.

App: 3.1.38
Drone: 1.11.0150+
Remote: 1.7.80

I have been using a Google Pixel 2 without problems for Months, I know it is not on the compatible list but have not had any issues. I have since tried it on a Iphone 6s and a Huawei P20 Pro. Same Issue across them all.

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting  the interface live? meaning with everything on.

I have just tried with an X3 and it worked fine. Another thing I have noticed is that when I connect to dji go app, the app thinks it is an Inspire standard as opposed to an Inspire Pro. As Inspire 1 doesn't work with an X5, I wonder if this is the issue, however it has worked fine for months previously!

That's a very confusing statement, how about cleaning the X5s contacts?

If we exhaust the troubleshooting, I would suggest contacting our support for us to send the X5  to our facility for further evaluation. Please see the link below.

Any chance the firmware might be wrong. Have you tried reinstalling the firmware. Especially if it works with the X3 but not the x5

Hi Livnxxl,

Potentially although when I have tried to update the firmware by putting in a memory card with the current firmware on, it does not automatically begin installing. Strange though how it was working fine with the x5 then stopped working after changing batteries

Hi Jordan. The exact same thing happened to me yesterday with no camera function, thinking it’s an Inspire 1, not Pro etc. Did you manage to sort the issue out in the end?
