My stupid ass flew into a tree. Broken rear left arm. DIY or not?

Hello everybody!

The other day I managed to fly into a tree and the rear left arm broke. The wire inside it still attached, and when I turn on the drone the motor "shakes" like it used to. I have not tried to turn on the motors properly, because I think that would not be a good idea.

My questions are:
Does anybody think it is fixable with any type of DIY solution, like proper glue or hardened tape?
Should I buy a whole new arm? The ones I found cost around 60 euros, and I would need to do some soldering to attach it (I think I can manage that).
Is there a better solution to this than what I have proposed?

I've attached 4 photos of the broken arm. Everything else seem to be fine.

Kindest regards,
Olav

Hi, We apologize for the inconvenience. We highly recommend sending back the drone for repair so that we cannot cause more issues on your drone. Please use this link: https://repair.dji.com/repair/index. Thank you.

I would have it repaired, seems like DJI's repair costs are not to far out of line with other authorized repair facilities. Just remember you may not get your drone back but most likely a refurbished model and the wait/down time may be awhile. From what I understand it is a relatively simple repair and the arms are cheap, U-Tube it to see how it is done.

Duct tape it! haha
In all seriousness... this is something glue or tape will not resolve.
The force that is put on that location is too critical and would be dangerous if not fixed correctly.

Sorry to hear about your crash.
I would send it in for repairs. There might be other damages to the gimbal that is not noticeable. Do you have a DJI Care protection plan?.
My friend crashed his MP a week after he got it and didn't have the Care protection and it cost about $200 (172 Euros) to fix. They replaced the Arm and Gimbal.

Without a doubt send it back.  Possible other issue/s as well that you may not know about.  Just send it in to authorized DJI.

yes simply  send it back to DJI for replacement or repair . this damage is not a cosmetic, which can be solved with glue or tape, its structural damage and stress on this section is much higher than any part of the drone.
