As your title says...  Rumors.  Although the specs on that looks great.    'Silent propellers' ....  I'd buy it for that alone.  But i seriously doubt that's what's coming.

DJI has been very successful in keeping a lid on this, and there is no real news about it.  Anyone who is talking about it is speculating.

A few are saying there may be two or more variations - I think this is because Autel have done that with the Evo. All will be revealed without any speculation on the 18th.

If it lacks the 1" sensor then it'll be no better of a product than the EVO being released next week. Some might even argue the EVO would be better because it lacks the geofencing present on DJI drones that is sometimes inaccurate and/or does not work properly which has scorned some owners into looking at competitors. I am pretty excited to see what DJI is releasing though. It is a good time for drones right now with the EVO release and DJI announcing something soon thereafter.

Is the props a new design? The wiggle props? Must be really quiet when it flies.

Appears to be.  See signature in front middle of Faux Mavic 2.

Retire it?  Doubtful.  They've(DJI) just recently entered into an agreement with Axon to provide police departments with "camera drones"  they are starting with Matrice and Phantom quads.  It's not likely that they change that arrangement to replace the phantoms anytime soon.

That's exactly what I'm picturing, the same traditional Mavic Pro body incorporating cameras of the Mavic Air and Spark. Rear obstacle avoidance will be built in and included just like on the Mavic Air.

Basically, the Mavic Pro II will be almost an identical clone to the original Mavic Pro, but DJI will release it with a larger 1 inch sensor on the camera and the software will incorporate the new Boomerang and Asteroid features of the Mavic Air, and perhaps more? It will have speeds in excess 45 MPH, fly for 35 minutes, and sound much quieter almost noiseless from 100 feet above the ground?

The biggest question is not what it will look like and do? The biggest question is the pricing strategy of DJI for the new Mavic Pro II? How much will it cost (Standard & Fly More Combo)?

I hope it has side obstacle avoidance (not IR sensors) sensors that work not just in tripod mode. I think side sensors are more important than rear, as many people fly sideways capturing motion.

I don't think the Phantom series will be retired, I just think the future of Phantom drones will be miniaturized? I get the idea DJI will always continue the design of the Phantom but they will shrink down its size and incorporate a smaller and more protected gimbal camera, which are bulky and less protected found today on the Phantom series.

Basically I could see the Phantom without folding arms and its size more like that of the Spark or Mavic Air? It could obviously be done and if the MA can fly up to 42.5 MPH, then this miniature Phantom I'm sure can reach same speeds as it does now? The only issue is battery power, I think DJI will eventually invent a smaller battery that can achieve flight times close to 45 minutes or even 1 hour? One day, maybe not tomorrow, but sometime in the next several years?

Not sure if a hour battery time would be a good thing or bad thing......think how far you can go in that time....and with any little issue on the calculation of reserve power....range will still continue to improve.....fly aways could be 60km away before the battery dies.....sure it would still land in tact....lol

The top of the drone would have to be a solar panel too, to provide even more time......but I am sure we won't see this for another couple versions.....

It is exciting times for sure.

The solar charge is a great idea. If your drone is too far away, runs out of power and has to land, it can recharge, take off and return home.

Hi, thank you for your interest in this Mavic 2, however, as of the moment, we don't have any information if ever that we will be having a new DJI product. I would suggest checking our website as well in any case that we will be having a new DJI product.
