Hello All,

I was wondering what resolution do you record on when using the OM2?  I am using 1080p because I can manipulate/edit the file on the DJI Go app.  Do you edit your files on PC?

Normally I record with full HD (1080p) since I use it for social medias where it is always compromised to FullHD or HD. Only in special cases when it is required by the customer do I record in 4k. The workflow with editing in fullHD is also much more efficient with the computer I've got.

Right.. I record on 1080p 60 fps with the Mavic Pro. Trying to get knowledge from the veterans here. Appreciate the feedback

For now I usually shoot FHD, not 4K.
Why? Because my workflow is fit for FHD and has trouble editing 4K footage.
And I guess I don't need it yet.

I can record in 4k but I don't. The phone heats up and works through battery too fast. I really don't prefer phone recording but it's convenient.

I shoot at 1080 with the DJI Go app
1080p @60fps with Samsung camera. (give me flexibility to add slow motion at 60fps)Also 1080p if i shoot with my Sony A6000.
Dont forget with Samsung, the slow motion gives 240fps @720 - which is fine.

4K is just not worth the extra file size it generates nor the processing power it needs to edit. The way we consume the end product is on mobile devices, so 4K is way overkill. Even 1080p is not required.  That being said - shoot at 4K and you have the flexibilty to crop a video with little loss of quality.

For editing i use my S7 ;
I can highly recommend Kinemaster Or you could try Power Director (this can edit 4K)
Both require subscription to get full features.

Editing on a smartphone is not for everyone! It can be 'fidly', lacks functions you find on a desktop - however i can edit 5/10mins at a time, anywhere. Which is a real winner for me.

That makes sense and its fits what I like to do as well.  I appreciate the feedback
