Hi, just purchased Mavic Pro Plat and whilst flying the Screen went Blank (although the Drone was still under my Control) so landed it and turned everything off and started again. I then checked the Calibration and it said to Calibrate so pressed 'Start Calibration' and a message came up with 'Cannot Calibrate Compass when Motors are running' but they weren't??? Getting disillusioned with this Drone Hobby as had issues with Mavic Air before all this palava lol

When you tried to Calibrate Compass where were you?   You need to be at least 10-Meters away from any source of Mangetic Inteference when calibrating compasses.

As for screen going blank, that would have nothing to do with Compasses.  Did the entire screen of Smartdevice you were using go Blank or only Live view from Mavic Pro P go Blank?

Hi, I was on a Beach well away from any interferance. 1st time it calibrated ok then the whole screen on Ipad went black so flew it back to my position. turned everything off and on again and tried to re-calibrate but it said I could not do so as not possible when motors are moving, obviously they weren't

It can happen to any drone mate - I had to return a brand new Phantom 4 Pro due to the IMU being broke out of the box...

Thanks m8 I'll give Drones Direct a call as I only bought it on the 13th June so think they will have to replace it

Thanks...contacted Drones Direct where I bought it from just 9 days ago who advised to ring DJI direct. They wanted a Screen shot of the words 'Cannot calibrate when Motors are running' believe it or not, rather than just take my word but luckily I took that picture so awaiting their reply now

No, that is there job to take back the product THEY sold to you and return it themselves whilst giving you either an immediate replacement or all of your money back. Check out their returns policy a little more. You legally have a 14 day unconditional return on any brand new item purchased in the UK - perhaps they need to be reminded of that...

No probs - don't sit back on it as the longer you leave it the more your statutory consumer rights will deplete. I'd get it sorted today if I were you.

Well that sucks but stay with it as the MPP generally is a very solid drone.   As a side note remember that your screen going black may also be a problem with your phone not handling the Go 4 app for any number of reasons.

Thanks mate. Bog Standard reply from DJI who suggested about an A4 Page of what to try after only having it 9 days. They are having a laugh. They did not even mention anything as to why it showed it could not Calibrate with the Motors running (which they weren't) Not impressed with them at all just a Bog Standard email. Item now returned where I bought it who will replace it. Not a happy bunny
