Can you take a picture while recording? I tried today from the remote using the button on the top, but it never took it apparently as I later found out looking on the sd card. So weird....

Nope. Video recording must tbe stopped prior to taking pic. My standard is the same.

Hi, unfortunately if you opt to use the video you cannot simultaneously capture photos in your drone.

Just play the video frame by frame until you see the frame you want, print screen and either save to Paint or if you have One Drive installed, it is in your OneDrive's pictures/screenshot folder.

"VLC" player is free, and as pmshop mentioned above, easy to take stills from the video. What I do as well.
