Has anyone changed out the camera that comes on the P4 or P3?    I have some business opportunities that could call for use of infrared cameras.  Im working if I can make that happen with a P3 or 4.  Or do I need to look at investing in an Inspire?

No Phantoms have this capability.

Hi thanks for reaching DJI Forum, sad to say there is non yet of a feature that caters changing camera's from the P4 or P3 series.

So is the inspire the drone I need to look at?  Which Camera?

I know the Survey2 and Survey3 cameras because they are rebadged Gitup action cameras with customised lenses and firmware, the Survey3 is a very nice camera, however I haven't used them with IR lenses.  Although I have used the standard 2 with no IR filter which can produce some interesting photos, probably not what you want, but you haven't said what you want yet...

Interesting use, but I'm not sure what cameras are capable of doing this.  The difference between a damp roof and a dry roof must be quite small in the near infra red, how does it work?

Maybe two of those Mapir cameras side by side with IR filters for different bands would show a difference between the two cameras that would indicate dampness?  Seems unlikely it would be detectable.  Maybe more detectable would be a thermal difference with a damp roof taking longer to warm up in the morning sun, but you need a different type of camera for far infra-red thermal imaging: https://dronexpert.nl/p/5956/

Not sure it would suit your needs but if you do a search for FLIR you will find some previous threads here also with links for some phantom mounts.
