Hi Guys .
I need your help: with DJI Pilot (the last version 1.0.1 android  and 1.1.ios ) for Android and for Iphone I cannot set the 4K 30fps and also 1080p 60fps, The maximun I can set is 25 fps for 4K and 50 fps for 1080p.
Do you suggest me what to do?
Note that I have the last version firmware 1.08

Second question: I have Epson Moverio BT200 is Android appliance to see in first person view like the fatshark. Did someone of you use it with Phantom 3 and its DJI Pilot Application?
I used it with my previous Phantom 2 Vision Plus with its application Dji Vision and I would like to use it with my new Phantom 3 Professional and its new application.

25/50 or 30/60 fps is the difference between PAL and NTSC.

As Ulysse pointed out there are differences between PAL and NTSC.  And there are two settings for 4k -- use the lower 4k setting (3840x2160) to get the 30fps.  


From the P3P spec page:
Phantom 3 Professional

  4096x2160p 24/25,
  3840x2160p 24/25/30

  1920x1080p 24/25/30/48/50/60

  1280x720p 24/25/30/48/50/60

Your in PAL, you need to change to NTSC under camera settings, if you find it won't chance reset camera settings and then try again .

Yes,

1. Tab the Camera Settings in the Pilot App (note, you have to have your Phantom and remote turned on and connected to your device). Camera Settings is the button above the Shutter button.

2. Tab "More" and scroll down to NTSC/PAL.

It does not matter that you're in a part of the world that use(d?) PAL or NTSC. Those are references to the TV-standards that only vaguely have meaning today with digital video. If you produce for yourself I'd select NTSC. If you produce for something specific that use 25 fps or perhaps even 24 fps (cinema), pick that.

I use NTSC and shoot almost exclusively in 4K 30fps

PS: When you are in the Camera Settings, make sure your "Over Exposure Warning" is turned ON - that way you get "zebra stripes" to indicate when your image is overexposed. That part of the image will be 100% white with no detail so usually only allow a little bit (10% or lower?) to be overexposed (reflections, the sun).

On the DJI web site, there is a FAQ. One of the items covered in the FAQ is supported devices for iOS and Android.

Turn on screen mirroring on bt 200 then do same on android device

I'm considering getting the BT-200's for use with the P3.  Any response on how you find them, if you would recommend them?

I was very wary since i read the BT-200's run android 4.0 and the min requirements for the pilot app are Android 4.1.2 or later...  Can you run the pilot app on these?

Some lag, but very useable. I'm seeing lag in the TAB S I feel.

Yes BT-200's wont run DJI pilot app. OS too old. So I just use the Miracast function from TAB s to Bt-200's.

My BT-200's are totally stock. (Not Rooted)

I think these are ideal for flying and complying with our LOS regs, but still having the ability to frame shots in bright sunlight.  A bit of lag is not a major issue, but how much lag are you getting?  Seconds, or fractions of a second?

Do you get any issue with having the wi-fi on while you're flying?

I have a Galaxy Note 8 so I'm expecting Miracast to be fine with the combo.

One last thing....do you have any experience using the BT-200's with spectacles?  I'm a tad worried about that since I need correction to see distances but my close vision is fine...

I use Splashtop as a regular mirroring service for my PC's to tablet (which is why I noticed the news) and it works fine, so I'm hopeful this will also work without too much lag...

Well lag is not counted in seconds fortunately hehe!.... much less that .2 of a second... but I some of the lag is on the TAB. So this not helping. Still a work in progress for me..  

But people at my flying club have offered me $ to take them off my hands, but I won't part with them. I very much like them for fpv flying.  

I have no issues with miracast effecting  to PH3. (wifi)..... gone to 800meters and still had full signal.. so the app said anyhow.

The bt200 come with blank frames so u can get your own glasses installed..

Thanks for the opinion...I've ordered them!  The splashtop app is specifically to enable ios device mirroring I think.  And it's not just a mirroring, it will also interaction through the Moverios touchpad I think, too.

I'll let you know how I get on with them once I get them.  Amazon.it says delivery Friday, just ready for the weekend! ;-)

Well news here on the mirroring 360 app... testing and testing

News not good at this point..

iPhone 6+, BT 200's... and dji pilot app... hangs, freezing, lag as long as your arm..

Even in just moving around in iphone very slow and playing videos on iphone very slow and lags behind..

Now ive tried thIs on 3 dIffrent wifi locations and connecting using iphones hotphotspot.  All the same result.

So i have made contact with the guys from mirroring360 and asked for help and setup info..

At this point in time miracast on android and bt 200's is much better. Mim delay.

Will keep u guys up to date on any more developments

Hi I would be very intrested to hear how u got on with Splashot... ?

I did not get it to work at all with videos. iPhone screen mirror did work, but very slow.

I logged a call with Splashot and this is the answer i got.

Sorry,the lag/latency is directly related to the AP on the remote control. Airplay does not allow you to change the resolution setting so with aniPhone6+, it streams the iPhone6+ resolution which will be pretty high for theAP.  If you try using an iPhone5 or iPhone6, you probably will see less lag. To reduce the bandwidth used, you might try to reduce the resolution ofthe camera that goes through the remote control.

This answer makes no sense to me

I've used the BT-200's a couple of times.  I like them.  I'm not sure I €700 like them, but they are good.  For phantom flying, for my taste, I get too many app crashes and loss of connection, but as video viewing they are awesome.  I need to play more on the phantom set up to get them optimal, I guess...

FYI Guys...

ok... here you go..

1. Download Airpin Pro app from Waxrain. (or Amazon app store, I did it this way.)
2. Install Airpin pro on the BT 200's
3. Restart Bt 200's and the airpin pro app starts automatically.
4. Connect both Bt 200's and your Apple device to the DLink DIR-510L AC750 router via wifi.
5. Startup Airplay on your apple device ( swipe up from bottom of screen)
6. Select your Bt 200 device from Apple airplay
7. Select screen mirroring.
8. Start DJI app

your away...

I tested last night with two full flights (+40) mins with out any problems...

I had to do this as my Android device (TAB S) wont work at this time due to the firmware problems and video lag in the app.

using my iPhone 6+

I use the Dlink DIR-510L as its AC750 speeds and is portable...

Moverio is working on solutions to enable pilots to use the BT-200 with the Phantom 3 and Inspire so watch for announcements.  Once solution soon to be announced is an HDMI box for the BT-200.  This box will connect to the HDMI output of the controller for the Inspire 1 and as DJI has mentioned that the Inspire 1 controller will be updated to be able to work with the Phantom 3 this may be the ticket to getting your BT-200 working.

I have a BT-200 app but so far have been unable to get the USB connection with the Phantom 3 to connect.  If DJI fixes the incompatibilities then you may see apps for the BT-200 and Phantom 3, Inspire 1 and Matrix 100.

I myself have the BT-200 and an iPhone 6 or the Samsung Tab S 8.4. The Samsung tablet is currently unusable because of Android problems.

I currently try the following approach in order to avoid an external router:

* Setting iPhone / cellular iPad as a hotspot
* On the BT-200: http://www.waxrain.com Airpin Pro app
* Connect BT-200 with iPhone Hotspot
* Connect BT-200 via AirPlay

Yesterday I got a sucessful connect. Test flights are still missing. I will report ...

Constant disconnections, had to stop using the BT-200's and rely on the iphone.

...bit disappointed.  Had similar disconnections using screen mirroring from my Samsung Note, was hoping it would be better with the iphone...

I had success yesterday!

Using Airdrop and with the BT-200's connected to the iphone's hotspot.  I think that is the way forward!

I just ordered the following : Moverio BT-200 + HDMI mirracast (since i also bought the HDMI out option for my remote controller).

As soon as i will receive those, i will report, but i will certainly also test the WaxRain + iPhone 6+ hotspot.

Ianbradbury...if you still aren't able to get a stable mirroring connection there is one more alternative solution you can persue.   Because you have the retail version of the BT200s (Build No. R1.1.2) you can connect the glasses to a wireless adapter.  Epson sells this wireless mirroring adapter (Model EHDMC10) and it connects to the HDMI out of the Inspire's controller.  You can run anHDMI cable (mini - regular sized) from the controller to the wireless mirroring adapter that then sends the signal to the BT200.  I've have found the connection (once it connects) to be stable and almost lagless.  Unfortunately this adapter is difficult to find (I believe I saw it on one of Epson's European websites) but they were included if you purchased the BT200-AV package.  Before going this route I'd suggest you try a couple of the Mirrorcast / Airplay programs because I got differing results with each one.  It was my third combination try that I finally found a stable low latency connection using airplay from my iPhone 6+.

Thanks for the input Knightowl.  I'm going to try some other combinations as you suggest, because at the moment using the iphone 6 and airplay I get quite a lag, freezing, and complete crash after 5 mins or so.  So much so that I'm on the verge of giving up with the BT-200's (which I otherwise love!).  I will persevere and get the wireless mirroring adapter (or the fabled hdmi adapter) as a last resort.

I'm having trouble with Airdrop.
The first 5 mins are fine (bit choppy but useable) but then the airdrop app errors with a message something like 'this copy of airdrop is not licensed (or authorized or something similar)' and the connection breaks...
Where do I get a licensed copy, I'm happy to pay.
