After linking my iPhone directly to the Mavic Air via WiFi, so using the mobile device itself as the remote, I every time need to redo the linking procedure (max 60 sec beeping) between the DJI RC and the bird afterwards. So it looses its previously known link information. Using the iPhone as the remote makes it easier to take pictures and filming without actually flying.

If this is normal behavior, I would surely wish this “link information to be saved” option in a future firmware.

Hi, sorry for all the trouble. May I know what exact model and IOS version of iPhone you are using? Did you encounter an error message? Did you reset wifi of your Mavic air?

iPhone 6s Plus. iOS 11.3.1.

Now I see the manual on page 44 is saying “Linking is required when switching back to remote control mode”.

This is such a shame missed opportunity.
