Hi thanks for reaching DJI Forum, we do apologize if you had some issues with the aircraft's connectivity.  Have you tried manually re-linking the RC manually? Please take time to check the video below for better understanding.

Hi Gamora,

I may have explained it wrong. The controller is not losing connection with the aircraft, I get a disconnected message in the app. I can still control the aircraft with the controller.

Hi there. We apologize for the inconvenience. May I know what exact model of iOS you have? Did you try to reinstall the app? Did you also try to re-mount the camera? Is the firmware updated?

Hi Wanda,

I am running IOS 11.4 on an iPad Mini 4. I have the latest firmware on the aircraft and controller. I will re-install the app and see if that helps,

Hi, kindly ensure that the files are saved before deleting the app. Please keep us posted in any case that the issue will persist.

Hello, I have exactly the same problems. I have yet reinstalled the software DJI GO4 and that of the drone.

Do you have a solution. Because it remains random. This can happen after 5 minutes as after 15 minutes.

Thanks

Deleted and re-installed the Go 4 app, tested tonight. Unfortunately no difference.

Seeing more and more reports on this and other forums Dennis, to me it looks like it may be an issue between the app and IOS 11.4.

Would it be possible if you can provide a screen-shot of the issue? Did you manage to change the different cable to see if that will help?

We have at home 3 radio controls of Inspire 2.
I tried with these 3 RC and with several different cables. We have my colleague and I an iPhone in IOS 11.4, an iPhone in IOS 11.4 beta, 1 iPad in IOS 11.4. It turns out that the problem still comes with the IOS 11.4 release.

I have another iPad with the IOS public beta on, I'm going to give it a try later to see if the problem persists.

Hello, single or double the problem is the same. The disconnection is done anyway.
It seems that the problem does not affect the iPhones X IOS 11.4.

Same phenomena here after iOS upgrade a couple weeks ago. The kit-

Ipad Air 2, iOS 11.4, Matrice 200, latest DJI GO  controller firmware V .01.01.0010, random and repeated disconnects, can happen after 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes etc., the disconnects make flying complete missions impossible. The disconnects normally happen every 2-5 minutes, though some longer time ones are also notice. To remedy- the controller and M200 are shut down, the Ipad too, then all restarted. It then disconnects again, over and over, within a couple-few minutes.

The RC Link between the controller and M200 is maintained when a disconnect occurs, the disconnect is between the controller and iPad. When a disconnect happens when airborne, the M200 must be manually flown back to base with no camera.

Would reverting the iOS back to 11.3.1 work? This will be tried, will report back later.

Contacted Apple about a 11.4 downgrade to iOS 11.3 for the iPad Air 2 that worked without disconnecting to the controller prior to the 11.4 upgrade.

Apple advises they don't do iPad iOS downgrades for regular non beta release customers.

They advise that owners of iPads with iOS 11.4 that no longer works with DJI Go 4, to contact DJI through the application developers section of the Apple Store.

So, for right now, the DJI drone is grounded as iOS ver. 11.4 appears to not be fully compatible with the iPad Air 2 it will disconnect with the RC controller at random.

Status here for Matrice 200 with-

iPad Air 2 with iOS 11.4

DJI RC controller with DJI Go firmware ver. 01.01.0010

This DJI Go 4 App version used is the latest upgrade available on the Apple store as ver  4.2.22

The DJI M200 controller with firmware v. 01.01.0010 using an iPad Air 2 with iOS 11.4 and DJI Go 4 ver 4.2.22 still randomly disconnects before and during flying.

Apple advises their iOS ver 11.4 can not be dowgraded to 11.3.

So we are waiting here for a newer version the DJI Go 4 App above v. 4.2.22 and/or another RC/M200 firmware upgrade so the M200 can fly without disconnecting between the RC controller and iPad Air 2.

Hi all, I've had the same issue. Apple just released a new update to fix the bug. Update to 11.4.1 and you'll be good to go!

Tried downgrading the RC firmware to V 01.01.0002, this allowed one flight of about 7 minutes, for a planned 25 minute mission.

That was the longest RC - iPad connection made today, the same random disconnects we're otherwise noted, where the M200 was un-flyable.

In March, the same M200, RC, and iPad could fly complete missions of about 25 minutes so something went off with the recent DJI firmware, Go 4 app and ipad iOS upgrades.

Updated the iPad Air 2 iOS to 11.4.1, using Go 4.2.22 App with RC firmware 01.01.0010.

Flew two missions today to completion zero disconnections between the iPad and RC.

It looks like the iOS upgrade may have solved the random repeated disconnects.

If anything else noted will post up here in the next week.

Thank you Apple and DJI for the correspondence the past week.

iPad and iPhone both need to be unplugged and plugged back in almost every flight.  Replaced cords, formatted, tried different Apple products, nothing works.  Incredibly unprofessional when using it for work.  Please fix the constant disconnects DJI.
