Is there a minimum age for flying recreationall?  Teaching my son to fly Phantoms.   He is 14.  Im assume hed be fine flying with me supervising...just wondering if he has to be a certian age to fly alone?

Neither the FAA’s Special Rule for Model Aircraft nor the Academy of Model Aeronautics National Model Aircraft Safety Code have a minimum age listed. I’m certainly not an expert but I believe your son is fine flying your Phantom, assuming he is registered under the FAA’s Special Rule for Model Aircraft.

IIRC, in the US you have to be at least 13 to register as a hobbyist, and 16 to get a 107 license.

Just supervise him.   DJI makes a very small drone aimed at the younger gen....Tello
Make sure he knows how much harm a 1000+grm  object can do to someone falling from 100+ feet  in the air.
At age 14,  I couldn't be trusted to not show off for my friends....But I wouldn't have wanted to be my dad   ether
