please see attached screen shot with message on screen appearing on first flight out of box.
I landed and flew a further two times for approx 10 mins without error and safe flights.
Has anyone else encountered this and has it corrected itself ?

If you have not already, update to the latest firmware which will force an IMU calibration and make sure your on the latest version of GO 4 app and this issue should go away.

Updated all firmware and apps before flying....yesterday 9th July 2018..
Interesting that you say IMU forced....mine didn’t
I’ll fly again and see if error returns.

Most people have reported a forced IMU calibration with the update.  

Does your drone report it’s firmware as V 01.00.15.00?

If all is up to date and you were getting compass errors, they may be real.
What does your sensor status page show on the IMU and Compass pages?

Yea mine definitely wanted an imu cal....values were maxed out! Lol

Latest firmware is showing as per your info and IMU status shows normal.

I was taking off from beach so i think there was little chance of interference.

Take a look at the sensor status page under the advanced settings options.  There should be 2 options under there.  One for the IMU status that shows 2 accelerometers and 2 gyros.  The second will show 2 compasses.  What kind of bias numbers are you seeing there with the drone powered up just sitting?

ACC1      0.001
ACC2      0.000
GYRO1   0.005
GYRO2   0.004

Are these OK

Hi,

Compass 1   = 11
Compass 2   = 8

Those look normal enough.

I would fly it some more and see what happens.

Flew today and tested ran to home... landed in its footprints..

Superb

I use Litchi so I don't get all the ridiculous DJI GO 4 pop ups all over the place.
