I am looking for a definitive source for no fly zones? I checked the DJI map https://www.dji.com/flysafe/geo-map before I went flying and I checked the FAA app B4UFly and both did not indicate that the area I was flying was restricted, but when I tried to fly my drone (Mavic) it told me I could not. The area I was trying to fly in is South fork park . I am planning on going flying again this weekend, but would be very frustrated if I once again could not fly even though all the sources say I can.

In the USA, your best bet would be https://www.faa.gov/uas/where_to_fly/airspace_restrictions/

but these are the federal rules. Counties and Cities can/will have their own rules ...

Thanks for the link, I checked the map and it does not show any restrictions.

I also understand that Counties and Cities can have additional restrictions, but does DJI build those into the drone? There were no signs at the park indicating that drones were not allowed. It was the drone itself that was not allowing me to fly. The controller had an error on the screen saying I was in a no fly zone. So how do I find out what DJI considers a no fly zone because the DJI map i linked to in the OP is not accurate.

I tried and seached for any rules that would prevent you to fly in that area, an could not find any.
There is a  TFR further east of Provo due to wildfire ( see skyvector.com ) but it is far enough
May be it was closer to your location last weekend.

The only thing I could see is the proximity with the Mt Timpanogos wilderness area .. but it also looks far enough .

As you mentionned according to https://www.dji.com/flysafe/geo-map , south fork park is not excluded.
Maybe you can report the issue to DJI. According to https://forum.dji.com/thread-151447-1-1.html, you may contact flydafe@dji.com ... Good luck !

Dont rely on the DJI Geo system to see if you can fly or not.  It has a tiny proportion of actual no fly zones in it.

However, if the DJI geo system is preventing me from flying, then my only option is to rely on it and seek to get it fixed.

In the very rare situation its wrong (seems to be US only) yes.  But just because DJI says you can fly somewhere doesnt mean you can

When I entered South Fork Park, UT, 84604 into the B4U Fly app it shows it's a restricted area. I don't know what the 1290470 is, but is has a R in a circle which means restricted.
