i sometimes fly over people, just be smart and safe about it. common sense rule ya know!.  like limit exposure over people dont hang over them too long get your pix/videos and get out.   dont go buzzing directly over them like giving them a haircut, and if the wind or weather is kicking up, then probably reroute and avoid people just incase dont want your drone drifting into someone and possibly hurting them.

Unfortunately, as I expect to be Part 107 certified in a few days, it isn't about 'common sense' for me.   Regardless of whether I think I'm taking adequate precautions and unlikely to hurt anyone, the last thing I want is my certification revoked for violating the rules.....and the more it happens and shows up on YT, the more likely we are to end up with even more restrictions.

the reality is as part 107 your not really allowed to fly over anything....
, including animals, wildlife, humans...  so are you only filming structures and vehicles from afar?  because i dont really see the point to becoming part 107 for personal venture.   i just make money under the table and usually avoid posting much about it..

Unfortunately I would not be allowed to take such pictures here in NL .
We are not allowed to fly over a group of people (must keep 50m distance horizontally at least)

i cant agree more! airplanes sometimes fall on people and the pilots are certified for sure..certification doesnt prevent accidents from happening unfortunately..
