There was a new DJI GO 4 update released on Android that I received tonight, which is version 4.2.21.
It says on the Google PlayStore that there were bugs fixed to the location of the map.

I haven't flown using this upgrade yet, was wondering if anybody has used this version yet?

Thanks!

Yes I have flown a single battery on my Mavic Pro. It seems that DJI has not finished correcting the map routines as input from keyboard does not work when loading offline maps on Android 5.2. With Android 7.1 there is strangely enough no problems !!!

I have no problem with pixelation on  my two tablets so I can not report about that problem.

You can fly fun with the new version as it is probably not inferior to the old one. And remember, it's not DJIGO4 that controls your quad but the controller and therefore nothing bad is happens because the APP does not work.

Regards Leif.

What tablets do you use?

I'm using an Medion P10506, an OEM Lenovo 1050P with 2GB RAM and Android 7.1 for my Mavic Pro. For my Phantom 4 Advance I have a CHUWI HI-12 with 4GB RAM and Android 5.2. Both tablets have trouble reading the camera setup in my P4A !!! I have seen a low degree of pixelation and delay of the display signal on both tablets but not as bad as many have on their (fastere) phones. It was version 4.2.16 which I acktely think was the worst.

But it's a long time over the stopline for DJI to get their software to work on common hardware that people own and not just hardware that's hardly ever is produced today. Too bad, DJI did not seem to understand so simple an thing.

Regards Leif.

I am going to say DJI GO 4 version 4.2.21 has been working better for me since 4.2.20. That's not to say others agree. While I continue to see some image pixelation on my Mavic Pro, the image quality is a bit better with 4.2.21.

Yes, okay. Then you're among the lucky ones. Others found that both V4.2.20 and V4.2.21 are equally bad. But obviously nobody can be aware of where the problem is exactly. But it's really bad that people can not see what they're doing with their camera.

I gave up on Android and bought a used iPhone 5S. The iPhone works flawlessly with no pixelization or "zebra pattern" I experienced on my Android device.

Does anybody have any experience with the new DJI GO 4 version 4.2.24? I've rolled back my Application to version 4.2.14 and there's no pixelation.

Can u say something about a mobile-spy-apps.com mobile recorder on Android? How does it work with other applications?

I don't have any experience with that kind of software addition, I have used AZ Screenrecorder.

Just saw this today, although I'm sticking with 4.2.14 right now due to video CCleaner Happy Wheels VLC interference issues on my Google Pixel (stock Android) phone, anyone know what this one is like yet?

The latest Application of DJI GO 4 has worked better for me than the previous iterations. I was using 4.2.14 before and it worked well, but I've had really little issue with the recent version 4.2.3
