Hi

I am going to Thailand and Cambodia in December and I have seen I need to register the drone after reading this, https://drone-traveller.com/drone-laws-thailand/.

I can do that, but I am not sure about insurance.

Does anyone know where I can get the insurance just for the holiday and not the whole year?

I have DJI Refresh but this is not the same I imagine so would need to find cover for the 2 weeks I am away.

And Cambodia, Angkor Wat (historical places) was, last time I checked, registration area, too!
Looks like a lot of work.

And isn't there a UK-insurance for worldwide coverage?
Afaik the thai insurance is just for Thailand and cost more, as my ww-cover european insurance

Are you really flying without insurance anywhere? In Germany there is "Haftpflicht Helden". I've taken a drone insurance with them with the insane cover of 50mln EUR for only 72 EUR per year.

Just in case anyone in Germany is intrigued ... goto helden.de and use code 34QM1 for one month free (disclaimer: I get one too).

I went to Thailand and didn't manage to get the registration done in time. I think, if you are careful and you don't disturb anybody with your drone you should be fine. National parks and the kings palace are a big no no, but that's the case even with registration :-) So, good luck.

Thanks for the email, did you buy insurance from him? Did he also do the NBTC registration for you?
