I have a FLIR DUO R and a Phantom 4 Pro V2.0.
I have been looking for a way to live stream the thermal image from the aircraft to the ground.
The FLIR DUO R thermal camera has a micro hdmi port and a mini USB port.
And help/advice would be much appreciated!

The P4 series is not well suited for after market camera systems. The most obvious issue is that the P4 (or P4P) camera is not interchangable (AFAIK). You'll need todesign and build your own solution (3 axis gimbal, transmitter, reciever, controller) and mount the setup onto the airframe somehow without disrupting the downward sensors. Here's one attempt:

Secondly, if you went this route and used the FLIR Duo, the normal camera feed would be redundant since the P4P obviously already offers one bad-ass 4K camera with an awesome video downlink/control protocol (Aka Occusync).

Why not get a second hand P3 and use that platform instead? I've seen P3's going for $500 or less these days. Probably cost you less in hardware and certainly less of a headache.

I'm actually ok with a fixed mount for my FLIR DUO R on the P4. In hindsight, I agree that I could have settled with the P3. But if I can figure out a way to stream the feed live than I'll be more than happy. Thank you for your help, the link you shared looks promising.

Not sure of the difference from FLIR Duo and FLIR Vue but if not for better then see this post/thread for inspiration.
