I am just starting to use a new Phantom 2. When I connect my Phantom to a Macbook Pro and open the Assistant software the application runs for 3-4 seconds and then it quits suddenly! (I have already tried to connect the Phantom nad then power it up and also tried to Power up the quadcopter and then connect it, but the final result is Always the same!)

First of all: it is necessary to connect the phantom to the computer before the first flight?

Do you know if there is a reason why it crashes suddenly? How can I do?

I have the same problem... it crashes each time I connect it to my MacBook pro and my iMac (10.10.3). But I have been flying the Phantom 2 with H4-3D for the last 10 days and it's working fine... just don't have the latest firmware.
