Absolutely, and last time I watched the Tour I could tell they were using drones and was pretty critical of their piloting skill. I did fly my Spark in France this year. Unfortunately the majority of our vacation was in Paris so pretty strict NFZ, but we did rent a car and drive to Normandy. I got some nice shots the first day but second day it was rainy and windy and only flew a little. So barely 2 days of drone flights in France. I would love to go back and rent a car and just drive the country and fly my drone. Sounds like a good time considering I already saw Paris. Cheers mate.

Nice work. Sensitive of you to hand carry the drone in the war graves rather than overflying them.
Pretty sure you had a few infractions of restricted airspace (for drones) around the Normandy beaches.
If you come over again, here is a handy site to refer to before flying:
https://www.geoportail.gouv.fr/d ... ur-drones-de-loisir
It's and interactive site, just type in the name of the place you're at, and you'll see if it's OK or not, to fly.
It's in French, but easy to navigate even if you don't speak the lingo. |
