I know DJI has just released 4.2.21. for android  And from what I have been reading, some people are having issues with it. My question is for the people who have Mavic Pro what version of app are people using, from past APK that is stable ???    Thank you in advance ...   BTW I will be using Samsung Note 8 ..

Best thing is load 4.2.16 and try it out.  If you see any issues or have lag/pixelation go to an earlier version.  Many that try and have issues with 4.2.21 go back to 4.2.16 and all is good while others have to roll back even further to say 4.2.12.  So try 4.2.16 and if bad video go back to 4.2.12.

I think this is a function of what device you are using. 4.2.16 seems to be pretty stable for most, but those with older phones and tablets, seem to do better with the older versions. Imho, the problem is, they are trying to jam in compatibility for so many models, each with their own unique features, that the Go 4 app is getting ridiculously bloated.  Add in some suspected coding problems and/or inefficiencies with 4.2.20/21, which is stressing even the best flagships out there, the developers are quickly rendering all android devices incapable of reliable functionality. Is this a plot to force everyone to the Crystal Sky's?  The jury is out on that one.

There has also been a confirmed memory leak on the later versions which I suspect is a big part of the issue to go along with how bloated the app has gotten.

I will be using Samsung note 8, its 128 g, internal memory and 6 gig ram. Its unlocked unit I purchase, also it does not have any bloatware since I did not buy from US carrier. I will only use that phone for my Mavic pro and Osmo mobile 2. with 128 g external  micro sd memory card

Then for sure do testing before needing out in the field.  First try 4.2.21.  If has issues go to 4.2.16.  If still issues try 4.2.12 and should be good by that point.

Ya, alot of questions. Most important is when is there going to be a DJIGO4 app for Android that actually works?
None of us paid $900 bucks for a brick, which is what we now have.

I'm still using 4.0.5...and all those little asteroid/helix flight patterns? I fly them myself, no app upgrade needed. Or wanted.
