I have tried to start a ticket online for several days. It will not let me. It keeps trying to send in my drone and won't let me do anything with the RC.

Ive made the blessed upgrade... and i ve got a beautifull shining stone... my drone is not flying anymore... can conect with every device like other cellphones, the RC, etc... but only see a black screen when go to try fly...
I ve tryied to downgrade the firmware to every other i could with same results.. my drone is dead... for a fking update..

El, sorry to read that, may I verify the model of your drone first? Is there any error message in the APP? Any chance to share us a screenshot of your APP of the black screen?

Hi, the only way to sort this out is have DJI help you on this. There is no way you can fix this by yourself. I got very good help from DJI and was back in the air in about 2 weeks.

Hi, i can only advise you to contact DJI on this, there is nothing you can do by yourself. I received very good support from them on this issue.

Good Afternoon All,

When I opened my DJI4 app today, as responsible user, who tries to be always up-to-date with Manufacturer's suggested firmware updates, I followed steps to perform upgrade. Update massage was in RED, so I truly believed this is vital and critical upgrade, possibly improving safety of my flights.

All went ok, till message: "Upgrade failed", at around 50% of upgrade.

Since then, as I can see now, I have suffered from typical symptoms:

- RC flashes in red,
- RC does not broadcasts any Wi-Fi signal,
- RC does not respond to OTG cable connection from any mobile device and PC

DJI online chat was very nice and same long ("we have many calls today"), and ended with conclusion that I used "not supported mobile device" and second one: "you maybe requested to send device to our facility in Netherlands".
So, I do understand device is damaged.

OK, fine, ... happens. But I do have some questions, after selecting leading drone Manufacturer (I'm flying few different DJI drones for different purposes):

- Am I responsible for damaging device by following suggested upgrade steps?
- is "not supported device" responsible for damage? (I truly believe it is cheap excuse, as I'm using brand new mobile device)
- if so, why DJI app can be installed on it without any kind of warning, that mobile device is not supported?
- again, why before upgrade, I did not receive single message: "Warning! your device is not supported"?

And final one: how to solve issue now?

Hi PrzemekZ, the warranty service will be decided by our repair center after the damage assessment when we receive the device, what mobile device are you using? Did you try with another mobile device?

Hello,

I was using OnePlus 6T during upgrade. After that I was trying OnePlus6 (not T), IPhone 8plus, OnePlus 5 (all recommended) but no luck.

I'm still claiming this is not "not recommended mobile device" issue. Even if it was, I'm still claiming it is not fair to allow starting upgrade procedure using "not recommended mobile device" without any kind of warning. Is it so difficult to include that warning before upgrade?

Well, 2 y passed and still no solution
In my case spark still supports connection with otg. I even saw rc WiFi for a while (tried to connect, but it failed and ssid didn't appear again).
Is there a chance to return WiFi for rc?

Yo tambien desde Argenti3, pasorom ya mas de 20 meses y sigo sin q mi RC emita señal wifi. Realmente muy pobre la actitud de DJI y no nos contacto y se encargo de recuperar todos esos aparatos fisicamente y ponerlo en estudio para que pague el costo quien lo tiene que pagar, ingenieros a industria q fabrico  esa pieza. Pero parece que quien le da vida a DJI que somos sus usuarios, no nos tiene en cuento.
Por es apple y steve jobs hubo uno solo, los demas vienen lejos atrás.
