Hi All

Just heard from "insiders" who flew the new and upcoming Mavic 2 that it is indeed a very nice drone.

They shared that the prototype they flew have the following characteristics:

Appearance: somewhat similar to the leaked photo circulating in the Forum/internet

Size: slimmer when folded compared to Mavic Pro but bigger/wider when unfolded

Weight: heavier in terms of weight compared to Mavic Pro

Duration: longer flight duration compared to Mavic Pro Platinum

Camera Versions: 2 different versions: with DJI camera and with Hasselblad camera (very interesting)

All visible parts look different than those of Mavic Pro including the battery etc.

In conclusion: They shared that DJI makes a very nice new Mavic 2 overall and they were very happy with the flight performance.

Cannot wait to see the final product of Mavic 2 in person soon

Forgot to add: front, back, up, down and side sensors and also some type of landing lights were shown in the prototype they flew recently.

Interesting if true but time will tell.

I am speculating the "production" version should not be too far from the prototype flown during the recent test-flight as the feedback I received was extremely positive

I was informed that the propeller design is completely different than that of current Mavic Pro...we'll see

It looks like the cat is out of the bag and it is indeed a Mavic 2 that is coming out soon(I Hope).  

OH look, more unsourced "insider" leaks to add to the hundreds more.  And equally as invalid.

Anyone can make that stuff up just based on the other guesses on the internet.

I see your point but hmm...I have known these guys for more than 30 years and where they flew it so I don’t think I can doubt the credibility and the info I shared above

That would be only thing of interest to me out of all things listed.  If camera(s) had a defintively higher quality lens, providing crystal clear and sharp images.

Iam going to italy in 2 month really hope that they make the announcement before...

all have valid points for credibility vs non credibility, but i rather sit on the credibility and keep the excitement about this new MP drone coming up. if they do things right, which im sure they are doing hence why they are taking their time, it is gonna be yet another HIT on DJI's part! anxious about this release

He does have pictures - those are more than guesses
