DJI Autumn (apparently a DJI employee) made a post here in the forum - see the section "announcements." There are three specific items mentioned.
This update apparently only affects the communication between the pilot app and the craft - there's no impact on the remote controller and it doesn't need to be updated.
The Gimbal Roll setting only fixes it temporarily (or it can be used to film something at a tilt if that is what you want).
The full IMU calibration and the Gimbal Calibration is supposed to fix it (and can help a great deal). But it appears that for most people it will often get a bit of tilt when yaw'ing/changing where the camera points. If you turn back to your original heading it might have become level again. So the manual gimbal roll adjustment is not super useful to fix this issue. However, it can be helpful if you have a particular shot you want and you can see the horizon is not level. But in that case you (almost) might as well fix it in post-production.

Uploaded the New firmware with no issues today however I have not had a chance to test the P3A with new firmware. Has anyone had a chance to fly after the upgrade 1.1.9?

Yep, spcsaw, I've flown after updating to 1.1.9 (only difference is I have the P3Pro).
Only thing I notived was the IMU-warm-up didn't take as long as before - BUT that is likely just because I was just updating the firmware a few minutes before I went outside to take the new firmware for a spin
No worries about flying with the new firmware - it worked great - as always
