I recently inherited a drone my father had. I have flown it many time before but now my RC will not charge. I originally thought it needed to be calibrated but the RC continued to beep after calibration. When I plug the RC in to the charger, it will shut off after a couple minutes and stop charging. I have left the RC on the charger for many hours and it still will not charge. Is there a simple fix or do I have to send the RC in.

They only thing with this is, is that its a hardware defect. Saying that i'm hoping to get it fixed by DJI.

This has apparently happened to THOUSANDS of drone owners. Why did DJI not replace these malfunctioning remotes. I never had an issue until updates (thanks a lot DJI). Have flown this drone twice and now remote won’t charge and constantly beeps.

DJI knows that this is their issue, yet tells everyone to “send it in to be repaired”. Not gaining popularity or return customers with these poor issues.

Even my Inspire 2 have similar trouble if let on a shelve for 6 months.
I barely charge it and it may have 20 cycles only. DJI will only ask me to buy a new one, but I'm happy to see that it could be fixed by hand. I'm so sorry for these who don't have so much technical skills and can't make it happen. This is the most unreliable product ever.
