Maybe record setting is better addressed in a different forum. I don't know of many here who would willingly try this.
But I'm curious; did you actually switch to ATTI MODE half-way back on the return trip or did you lose GPS?  

How come your horizontal speed indicator shows between 2 and 4 mph the entire trip?

Strange, HS is 2-3 mph, battery is n/a.

But - how did you do that overlay?

I did switch to atty mode to try to make it home faster.

I don't know why it shows that.  But it looks like the decimal is in the wrong place.  If it says 2.4, its actually 24.  Show the same think on my flight record when I play it back

Decimal is in the wrong place, if it says 2.4, its actually 24.  

I recorded the flight playback from my iPhone to quicktime on my mac, then did a picture in picture in final cut pro x.

to me, this is a pretty cool video.  and shows what its capable of.  which people want to know.

No modifications. I turns around so that I would make it back before the battery died, not because of signal loss

That's pretty impressive. Almost 4 miles.
