Just thought I would share a photo I took yesterday. Ever since I got my first digital camera back in 2001, I've always used JPG and auto mode for most of the part, only ever adjusting ISO and exposure to get photos right. This is part of why when I needed a new camera a few years ago or so, I got a Sony RX100 as it just took great photos by pointing and shooting.

Now I have a Mavic Air, it looks like auto mode just won't cut it if I want to make the most of it so switched my settings to manual, set to save as raw, and got myself Lightroom.

I'm slowly getting used to it but so far I am quite amazed at how much of a difference taking and processing photos this way can make.

That said, it's lucky software like Lightroom can do the heavy work and merge photos together. After seeing something like this knowing what I have available to me, it sure makes me want to go out and see what more I can do.

Thanks. It's two HDR photos in a panorama merge. Used the AEB function on the Mavic Air to take 5 shots for each HDR photo.
