Highlights seem to be a 2 inch sensor on the Pro, and the Zoom version has a 2x optical zoom (24mm-48mm)

And why would you buy a P4P now?

No interchangeable camera it seems. The zoom version seems pointless.

Yup the in that shop chain items are listed in laminated catalogues and 'picked' from there..looks like they put the new ones out not know this was in there...or not realising the release had been delayed.

Theres a better photo on the other forum, its 1" sensor on the Hasselbad version (and a different shape front end) of camera).
The "zoom" isnt going to be a 1 inch...its easier to get the zoom with a smaller sensor.

One thing i can see the 1 inch camera version has a rectangular end of lens.  This could cause an issue for circular polarising filters unless someone invents a "real" one with a rotatable front element...but that adds weight and maybe too much for gimbal.

Surely they have to announce a P5 at the same time as with those specs there appears to be no reason at all to buy even a P4P after that?
Or they're going brave and axing the whole Phantom range and just running with Mavic/Inspire.

So much rubbish in their "summary".  They have one version and make up a price, the lens specs are wrong for both versions etc.  Its worthless.
They have no idea about lens distortion, noise, dynamic range, aperture.

I think Argos already had their catalog in production when DJI cancelled the " See the Bigger picture event at the last  moment  so their won't be a Non disclosure agreement violation because they are not going to scrap their entire catalog for one item  also you can walk in their store today and pick up the catalog..

For anyone who doesn't know Argos, its a MASSIVE uk catalogue shop chain.
You go into a shop, flick through 800 pages or so of products, write down the number, hand it over and pay then wait for someone to pick your order and give it to you at a collection point (or you can order ahead of time online).

They release 4 or so catalogues a year.  So chances are they produced these for the original release date and theres no way in hell they'll recall 10s, maybe hundreds of thousands of large catalogues over 1 product that was cancelled last minute by the manufacturer.  I can't see any NDA issues there - the catalogue lead time for print and distribution is way over the few week time scale DJI organised then cancelled the media event.

Its happened before with the catalogues, accidental product leaks due to delayed releases.

Time to start rattling that piggy-bank!

Good news! I stay with the foldable drones. Took the Mavic on a motorbike tot Norway, Finland and Sweden en in may RV to Iceland and the Faroe Islands last month. I hope the video quality of the '2' will be as good as the p4p. It has to improve.

Not pointless. That drone looks smaller, probably cheaper, and the zoom lens enables shots that were impossible before (in 4k).

The Hasselblad version will cost, not that they can add much to a 1" sensor camera, but they wouldn't put their name on something that does not treat images right (say good bye to crappy noise reduction and sharpening)

If you need help with that just let me know.  I'm pretty good at things like that.  It all hinges on your definition of the word 'need'

2x zoom just better than nothing. Cropping image from 1 inch sensor version may have better quality than the zoom one.

So this begs the question.. I want to keep one as a backup.  so between a P4P and a Mavic Pro Platinum - which would you sell for the Mavic Pro 2 and why?

My initial thoughts are the P4P purely for form-factor. The Mavic 2 I'd get would be the 'blad version assuming that would have superior image quality.

I am really looking forward to this ....  it's my Christmas present this year ...
