Hello, for the attention of the DJI technical service:
After making the last flight without incident, I proceeded to clean the spark with a dry cloth. I dismantled the propellers also to clean them. I have seen that one of them has torn one of the sides of the anchor to the rotor. The rest of the piece is in place in the rotor. I remove it without problems. I decide to replace the four helices. I use the spare ones in the combo pack. I attach images of the propellers. It is one of those that has a white circle.

Question: Can it be due to fatigue of the material? Is it covered by warranty? I acquired spark in January / 2018.

I appreciate your comments and apologize for my poor English.

Thank's and best regards!

1) I think the propellers would be considered a consumable and not covered
2) More than 6 months - may not be covered because of time also.

Never the less, open a service request and see.

" Can it be due to fatigue of the material?"

Perhaps, but can be also just bad luck.
There are topics about it, every now and then
But not as many as I would expect, if  fatigue would be a reason, methinks

2 years?
Not for a battery or even the Spark itself.
Where is that information of a Spark being manufacturer warranty coverage for 2 years?

In Europe, all electronic devices are guaranteed by law for 2 years. Regardless of the 1 year warranty from manufacturers outside the EU.

Hello, I do not understand what you mean. Apologies for my poor English.

What I meant  is earlier to your last flight, your AC might have banged with the props on to an obstacle and the prop part might have broken off.

Dear Stephen,

Copy below Dave's response (DJI customer Support). He does not answer the main question of the problem. Can it be a material problem? In this case, if this happens in flight, do you imagine what can happen? Dave has only said that it is out of warranty and that I must buy others.

Will you agree with me that it is not the best answer? I trust DJI and I am the first to say about the quality of the product, but this situation makes me doubt.

Thank's and best regards.

Sorry, I have not had any accidents with the spark.

A broken accessory especially a working propeller indicates a good bang somewhwere !!

He did said no incidents.

To the poster, please note that while hitting small flowers and stuff while takeoff/landing can produce micro-cracks in the plastics.
If there are micro-cracks(not visible with the naked eye) and the material is expanding/contracting (due to high temperatures/low temperatures... it's summer after all and the props are black) it will eventually break.
You were lucky it didn't happen mid air ! The little force you applied to remove the props was the final blow to this plastic part

Hi!

Please reread your posted document. It is all about warranty NOT about guaranty which is quite a big difference.

As the props are quite essential for a drone I change them as soon as I can see any marks of Impact on them. In Addition I do not start and land in grass. Also make sure to check them preflight - imagine this part would have cracked during flight... Byebye Sparky

Edit: your first pic shows a crack in the left prop - so it definately had an Impact somewhere...

Thanks for your comment. I can understand that blows on the flowers when landing can cause micro breaks, but ... is that enough to break the piece in the conditions seen in the photo?

I still expect a coherent response from the DJI Service  or DJI Sthepen Administrator.

Best regards!

Hi!

Clipboard01.jpg

I wouldnt call this a micro break And the prop anchors are IMHO designed to break at a certain force to prevent damaging the motors. Props are cheap, replacing motors not...

Thank's Weesel for your evaluation. I will keep in mind that the propellers are very weak in their structure at any stroke, even if it is very small.
