They still haven't told us when they are going to release a version of DJI GO 4 that will work well for all users (not only a few lucky ones). Without it this drone is going to be an expensive piece of plastic anyway (even Litchi won't help as there is no publicly available SDK with Mavic 2 support yet).
And DJI also have to tell us when they are going to fix all those fabulous bugs that they've introduced in the .400 update for the MA's firmware.  Given that (as others noted here) these drones share at least part of the firmware codebase, it is not unlikely that some of these bugs will make their way into Mavic 2 just as they did with Mavic Pro.

I am afraid those problem are caused by they adding M2 functions to existing firmware and Go4. Possibly they hold the M2 launch till fixed the software.

I couldn't agree more.  Unless DJI comes out with stable and almost bug free software to control these new drones, and previous models, then it really doesn't matter what cool features these new drones have.

Nobody has yet noted the set of stereo cameras on the underside ... photogrammetry and realtime 3d modelling maybe?!

Indeed - just playing the speculation game that peeps seem to like lol. That said this craft looks like it is stuffed with sensors - which indicates more utility in 'enclosed' spaces, less susceptible to loss of GPS signal and/or compass interference - more VPS in the round if not the full 360 degrees (maybe!).

Just the fact tha DJI haven't scheduled a re-launch date and we're almost midway through summer tells me they're having challenges sorting out this issue. My greatest fear is another Mavic with camera and gimbal issues as the original.I have no problem waiting on a stable product!
