A few pics from this evenings adventure... Managed to keep the drone up in really rough winds and landed just as it hit. Monsoon season here in AZ. There was a wall of dirt and dust that spanned 20 or so miles. Very challenging to fly in it...
Checking local news... this storm knocked out power for 120,000 here in phoenix. It was a monster. My flight was two miles from the Deer Valley airport where it moved planes around.

What was the flight look like? Can it hold the position?
Been doing storm chase type drone flying for about 5 years. You have to be able to fly atti/sport. Most drones will handle the higher winds. Biggest issue is the visibility. I was about 10 feet off the ground as it hit. Even after touch down and motor stop the winds were trying to flip the drone. Have never lost a drone so far to weather...
