Another method is to carry a Black / White / Gray certified photography cards.  You take a picture of those cards in light that you plan to photograph in.  Then when post editing use Sampler tool to get correct White Balance for series of Photographs.

One of the reasons this method is important has to do with Light reflecting off of colored objects and shifting color temperature from source.  Usually worse indoor where ceilings, walls, and carpet have a real effect.

Hardcore / Professional Photographers will also take pictures of certified color cards which can be used to further set correct colors for post processing.

Often they will take it even further by buying a Screen checker that verifies colors seen while editing are accurate.
