Mate - perception is reality as they say. It's sad but true - if you rock up with this in the case your clients will appreciate it more than a Mavic. The Inspire is not only a professional drone but more importantly, it looks like one.
The company who sold me the drone have direct links to the CAA here in the UK so I am reading up on the PFCO - three-day course and voila... I can start charging!

Very true my friend. I borrowed a friends inspire for a job last week and I think I opened pandora's box . At least with this client.
PFCO is that what we call Part 107?

I always forget You are in UК, for me range in the mountain is Very important, so Mavic pro is a better choice - But filming with your beast should be a blast - Enjoi it!

PFCO is that what we call Part 107?

Permission for commercial operations (you know what us Brits are like lol) - an official qualification to gain permission to use a drone in UK airspace to profit from it's use - exactly the same principle as part 107 in the US only I have to write my own operations manual to submit to the CAA and pay over a grand for it!

Inspire 1 gives out 2.2 miles over lightbridge in CE areas (only 500m less than the Mavic Pro) but yeah, this is not a drone you would typically buy to do range tests. If it malfunctioned and hit someone well, you would kill them - simple as that!

Andy, it's an awesome drone you'll get to love it. It's a head Turner and does attract people on launch and recovery and takes longer to slow down. Invest in an iPad and hoodman buddy, makes a huge difference and worth the outlay. Congratulations buddy.

Definitely looking into upgrading to a Pro set up with the X5/R later down the line. Want to get use to flying it first.

I've been looking at them since I started too.  But as you said, it is not for noobs.  So I will continue to practice with my toys, and get all the feels before I take that plunge!

Yep - which seems less glitchy than GO 4 due to less drones using it I guess.

Just recently sold my I1 V1 and that thing is a beast, it is just a pain in my butt to haul it around as I had the RTF case.  Cool drone and all, but for such a big battery you only get about 10 mins of fly time.

Really? I've just returned from flying this evening and got 18 minutes with my TB48's and 15 from the TB47 - that's more than my Mavic Air gave out - plus I flew 25KM's off the three flights. I've got no problem carrying that case around - the drone is more than worth the effort

I only had the TB47 and I fly pretty aggressively.  Don't forget to buy the hub charger it is well worth the money, charging 6 batteries in about an hour.

I can imagine in full pitch in a strong wind an older TB47 will give a shorter flight time. I bought an extra DJI charger so can charge all 3 batteries in about 3 hours.

Hahahahaha - believe me mate this was no spontaneous buy to put it mildly - but well worth it in the end. watching that thing take off and raise the landing gear then ascend at 12MPH to 400' in seconds as you fly out at 40 odd MPH in P-mode cutting through any wind like it's not there - it stops people in their tracks to look up for all the right reasons. No regrets at all. It will probably save me money in the longer term as I will not sell this one to downgrade (at a loss) and may even use it commercially later on. In the mean time, it is just one awesome piece of tech to own and enjoy flying.

It's like any app......GO uses LESS resources than GO 4

It's as simple as that.......Lots of people have Tablets or phones that worked with GO.....then upgrade the flight system to the latest that needs GO4....BAMM,  no longer works proper.

Happened to me......iPad Mini 2 and my 2015 Inspire never had an issue.  Then I got the P4Pro and no way was that working.
Had to get the iPad 9.7 and that works fine......and now that I have another I-1 the iPad mini is back in use!!!

It seems GO is optimised for the iPhone 7 plus whilst GO 4 is for the 8 plus - guess it needs a more powerful processor in the device to handle all of the added tech. Does make me laugh how GO 4 is used to fly the Spark and the Matrice 210 RTK on the same app - a $400 drone and a $30,000 set up lol

Funny thing is. My wife kinda fought me on this purchase for quite awhile, but now it’s the one that she likes best and will stop doing her thing just to watch.

Hahahaha - it is an amazing bird - my wife has come around too and also appreciates it. It is a head turner for sure and a joy to fly. I can see my keeping this for years rather than months.
