Hello! I received a similar problem after upgrading to the July version of DJI Go 4.
Pixelization, the delay of image transmission, the interruption of communication between the control panel and the smartphone ... Smartphone Xiaomi Mi5S
I have applied all the recommendations above. Without success ...
Now I returned everything (console, MP, DJI Go 4) on the version from February - got the long-awaited result - my MP became the same as it was before. And I again can get pleasure from the flight. Just my MP ate three batteries - everything is great!

How were you able to role back the Dji go 4 app ?

I'm on 1.04.0100 FW and tested the new app and it had no lag or delay in video on Samsung S7.
Did downgrade back as you, simply thrust the old app better.
Also use my MP on old Samsung J5 with Litchi without problem.

To which DJI GO 4 app and MP firmware you rolled back? Thanks.

1.  Delete JI GO4
2 . Install apk  from here https://apkpure.com/dji-go-4-for-drones-since-p4/dji.go.v4
Colleagues recommend the  Version: 4.2.12 (2031018) for Android
But I could not remember whether I was doing well with this version and I installed Version: 4.2.8 for Android
3. The firmware of the control panel and the MP is reduced to V.0200 through the Assistant 2

The main thing in this situation is the preservation of the possibility to lower the firmware of the console and the MP through the Assistant 2.
I hope that DJI will retain this possibility.
This will allow us to test new firmware versions and  DJI GO 4 without risking getting what turned out after the July update ....

Unable to row back FW but was able to row back go4 app will test it out tomorrow.

I installed the 4.2.8 version on a different phone, kept the latest version on another phone, and the 4.2.8 gives me no problems, where the latest version give me video lag, pixelation and freeze frames. Is it possible to downgrade the Mavic Air firmware from 0.400 to 0.300, or did they only made that possible with the Mavic Pro to roll back the firmware?

I do not have MA and unfortunately I can not help. Open the Assistant 2, connect your MA to the computer through the USB and see what he will offer you.

If it is under warranty and service is available - it is worth to replace it of course!

Downgraded the GO4 app and  low and behold video lag and disconnects seem to disappeared however i only had time for one flight but very encouraged that the issues i have been having was do to the go4 app.
