Are you talking about the Phantom 4 or the Phantom 4 pro?
The P4 pro has a lens that focuses.
The P4 does not.

If you have a P4, it has not lost focus - it never had focus.
Because the lens is fixed-focus,  it never had the af/mf square on go app

How are the photos you are taking appearing when you view them directly from the SD-card?

I used to do computer troubleshooting, so I started with the simplest fix....

Had a friend purchase and fly drone for months and complained how bad the video was. One day I went over to fly with him and pulled the protective film off to reveal 4k video was back!!!

Then it is solved. The video and photos you see directly on your monitor (or in albums after) are a cache. This is just a local storage of your videos and photos. To get the maximum resolution you should pull the material straight from the SD-card. If you experience any lag/delay in when filming, this will also be shown on your monitor when viewing the video afterward.

The Vision Positioning System is not related by any means to the camera itself. Yes, the VPS is using cameras, but these are only to avoid obstacles/hold position. And not the videos/photos you are viewing afterward.

It’s not the cache,I’ve disabled that. Am taking images straight from card

Hi DJI Team, DJI users ;-)

I am a new Phantom 4 user and did a lot of research prior to post but it seems I am having same issue than lots of people here about blurriness of images.
I have the new Phantom 4 (not the Pro one) and downloaded the DJI IOS app from 22.09.2018 which is the most recent one. I am using it on an Iphone 5 SE running IOS 12.

Since 5 years, I shoot for my needs mostly in 1080p 120FPS with the drone holding position, so no big camera movements that can explain blurriness sometimes.

Actually it really looks like the image is fully out of focus and I don't even have the option to adapt and play with the focus anywhere on the DJI app, meaning I read many posts on how to play with focus but it seems that the option has completely disapeared from teh settings with the newer version of the app :

Here is an example of blurriness, on the right side of the image the white shoes are completely blurry howevere they don't move and the drone is stationary, it's often on the right side of the image that I see that blurriness and it depends on shots this is why I think it's just a matter of finding the right focus settings but they are missing and I am used to Gopro image quality which is always crystal clear and crisps and never has these big blurry/fuzzy parts.

Thx in advance for reply :-) :-)

Try resetting your camera settings, style might be set to soft or similar.

You can see the reset option at the bottom of your first photo above.

Nothing wrong with those clips except you have underexposed all of them.

As mentioned earlier by Labroides, the P4 does not have the ability to focus because it is a fixed focus lens. So there would never have been an option in the app menu to affect focus.

For a fixed focus camera, never judge it by photos taken close to the lens, like that shot of the trampoline. Get some distance away and take a still. If the camera is out of focus on one side, then send it back to be repaired.

And if you are shooting in 120fps the quality will degrade also... Try 25fps in 4K and check video then.
