Hello DJI Community!

We've just purchased a new DJI Mavic Air and are stoked to begin using it. We're traveling to Croatia in less than 2 weeks and would love to use it, but we have some questions/doubts:

• We will NOT be selling any of the video, but we will be using it on our personal travel blog. Having a hard time understanding if Croatia considers that "recreational" or "commercial." Anyone?
• We are struggling to find clear information regarding drone permit requirements in Croatia. Can anyone help us understand EXACTLY what type of paperwork needs to be done before we enter Croatia? Here are the most useful links we've found:
  

• https://www.uavsystemsinternational.com/drone-laws-by-country/croatia-drone-laws/ -- says a permit is required for both recreational & commercial purposes, but doesn't offer details
• https://drone-traveller.com/drone-laws-croatia/ -- indicates 1) that we DO need prior approval from the Croatian Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA). To do this, you must complete the form FOD-FRM-005 and send it to Dorotea Mikšić (dorotea.miksic@ccaa.hr). and 2) If you want to take aerial photos with your drone in Croatia, then you also need a permit from the State Geodetic Administration (SGA, contact info@dgu.hr).
• http://www.crocontrol.hr/default.aspx?id=3504 -- indicates 1) When flying unmanned aerial vehicles (including airplane models), a prior approval must be obtained for the establishment of an ad-hoc structure. and 2) The filled out form must be sent no later than 8 working days before the scheduled operation via the AMC portal or by e-mail to the Airspace Department (E-mail: civaa@crocontrol.hr)
  

After going through all of those links (and many more), we're still unclear on exactly what is REQUIRED vs. SUGGESTED.

Guess you are already on your trip.  Did you fly your MA?  I was there in August and flew in Hungary, Serbia, Croatia and Romania without paperwork.

In the end we needed to cancel the trip for unrelated reasons. Thanks for the reply though -- good to know you were able to fly in those countries without paperwork!
