Well i managed to get the Mavic Pro airborne for my first ever drone flight, quite scary at first and due to nerves i did forget everything i had watched on youtube tutorials lol
But the great thing was, after it launched up into the air, it just hovered steady as a rock so panic subsided, my memory came back and i began to really enjoy the amazing experience.
After all the worry i had when the salesman told me it wouldn´t work with the large 7.8 Crystalsky i can verify it flies beautifully as all you guys had already said.
Cant wait to take her up into the hills above our village later where there are no electricity pylons or wires to tangle with..

Welcome to our addiction. Just take it slow and buzz around your yard for a few days as you get used to the controls and learn the drone. Incremental flights are the way to learn. Look forward to seeing your videos in the future.

Great to hear something positive about someones first flight.  Also, glad to see the OP did NOT fly it out 2 miles over open water in high winds as others tend to do on their first flight.

Try to find a large field to fly in something like a soccer field.

Thank you, i´m looking at the best camera and still settings today, i´ve been a still photographer for years, but i think shooting video will become a similar passion :-)

haha.. yes it´s definitely baby steps at the moment,  i´ll get more adventurous when i´ve got more experience lol

Well done! You are going to have a great time with your new Mavic. Just take things slowly double checking all settings and information in the app and don't be pushed into doing something you are not ready for.

Congrats, just remember to allays remember to take off the gimbal guard, and male sure you hear your battery click in. Last tip hover until you hear "Home Point Updated" . Im speaking from my own experience
