I ran into this issue recently -- it seems like it happens if the gimbal moves very slowly, but not slow enough, for at least 10 minutes. The issue doesn't show up if I take 5 minute timelapses, or if the yaw angle commanded is large enough.
I find that it's quite easy to reproduce this (for my Osmo+, at least) with a 10 minute timelapse, and a yaw movement from the red marking to the white marking on the gimbal locking ring. Align the lock symbol on the gimbal with the red and white markings when you mark point A and point B. I've only tried it with 1s and 2s intervals, but I don't think that makes a difference.
For what it's worth, my gimbal records long videos (>30min) fine, and moving the gimbal manually along its full range of motion (while it's off, of course) doesn't reveal any abnormalities. |
