Turn off landing sensors, just grab Mavic air turn 90 degrees motors will stop, this is the quickest way, you can also with landing sensors off just preform landing on the palm of your hand and and hold stick down for 3 seconds.
Practice which one suits you best. Be careful.

Be sure to have an ample supply of band-aides handy when you start.

Thanks i got it now
but what is the benefit of landing sensors ?
If landing sensors are turned off  what iwould be the risk on the drone ?

With sensors off if your landing on the ground just be careful and don’t slam the aircraft down , if you leave downward sensors on when you try to catch as soon as you put your hand under aircraft will rise thinking it has met with an obstacle, again with practice you can leave sensors on but will have to try grab aircraft without sensors picking up your hand, easier to do with phantom or even Mavic Pro but not so easy with Air.

I would not worry as much about my fingers, as I would my eyes.   Wear Rx glasses, shades, or safety glasses.
Loose an eye, you only got one more to go.  Loose a finger, and you still got 9 more to go.
Plus, they do sew fingers back on, eyes not so much...

Disclaimer: I do not recommend hand catching a drone, but if it's going to happen, it's going to happen and I can't be your Mum.

My downward sensors are always on. If circumstances have led to me needing to catch it in hand (such as not wanting to land on dirt, or I need it landed and off ASAP for other safety reasons), I usually come in to grab it with my hand in a position like I'm holding a can at a 45 degree angle. Then I just grab it just behind the gimbal area and quickly turn it 90 degrees sideways. Once you have grabbed it, if you do happen to get your palm in the way of the lower sensors, it won't make much of a difference because the motors will spin up as you try to tilt it anyway.

I catch my Mavic Air the same exact way I always caught my Spark. Like this.

DON'T! it is very poor practice and sets a bad example to those watching. Do a search for prop strikes and see if you are willing to join those who have proved Darwin was wrong. Had Darwin been right so many years ago, evolution would have culled out all idiots who stick there hands in fans. ( add to that texting and driving) ..... the list goes on, and on, and on. Land the stupid quad for the love of your fingers.

If you orient the drone so that it's quartering towards you, you don't have to turn off the downward sensors. Just lightly grab it towards the front with your right hand while continuing to hold down on the left stick with your left hand. The motors will stop just like landing on the ground. No need to turn the drone on it's side.
