Nobody will know for sure until it's announced on Thursday. For the past couple of releases, the DJI Store has shipped out the first units. So, ordering from the DJI Store is likely going to be your best bet if you want one ASAP.

Not even the page from the magazine? c'mon that is a sure sign that it's a Mavic 2 and it even shows 2 different models........

The announcement on August 23rd may say MP 2 won’t be released in this year

I don't think anybody will be given early access to purchasing the Mavic Pro 2, as the event is scheduled for Aug. 23rd and typically the day DJI unveils its new drone is when sales begin.

I beleive last release Mavic Air , dji select members were supposed to be given preference, not sure how that worked out, but overall Mavic Air shipping was excellent.

Some YouTube reviewer already has their hands on it for an in depth review. How do I know? Because I saw him flying it by the beach. He's got the one with Hasselblad. He's quite popular too with drones. No, it's not the guy from New York.

They (DJI) would be absoloutly bonkers to give "that guy from NY" and proto/new release, to destroy on the first day,

Thank you for sharing your observations and glad to hear that it wasn't "the guy from New York" ;-) But from what you have seen, did it fly well? Should I go for it next week, it would be that one...

I could sell you a P4 to add to your stable, then I could get the MP 2.

When I crashed my almost two year old Mavic Pro just over a week ago my wife said to me "you know your not getting a new one just because you crashed it" .......

A kind offer; but I'll have to decline. Seriously though I still think the P4 camera, and its slightly better stability make it a good stable companion for the Mavic Pro with its choice of intelligent flight modes and fully integrated Goggles support.

The new Mavic Pro will need the Wow factor for me to jump.

I agree, it’s gonna have to be pretty special for me to throw more duckets at DJI right away.  Otherwise we’ll just watch some reviews for a bit and then decide long and hard.

I'm sure all details will be available the day of the release.
