Hey guys, just recently set up my Ronin S but I've been having issues getting the focus to work correctly. I've updated the firmware and connected the gimbal to the camera but when I try to pull focus it just goes from 0 to infinity vice versa with the slightest movement. I'm not sure if I'm doing something incorrectly or if it's a software issue. I've checked compatibility and I'm good to go on that part.

Hi there, due to various lens focus control mechanisms, when using the Ronin-S to pull focus, please set the lens to AF to see whether it helps.

I tried that but unfortunately it did not work. I am using the Canon 24-70mm 2.8L II lens as well.

I have the same issue with my Canon 5D Mark IV + 24-70mm ii. I've turned the lens from auto to manual (back and forth) same issue. I've turn off AF servo, still same issue. I'm able to focus with the record button, but the focus wheel hunts from 0 to infinity with nothing in-between.  All firmware is up to date. Any other suggestions/ solutions?

How did you solve it?

I had the same issue (with the same f2.8 28-70 lens) and decided the focus wheel was just junk. It's easier to just touch the back of the screen to focus.  Love how somebody posts that they had the problem but then fixed it without giving any clue as to how (rolls eyes!)

Turn off the camera's AF servo and switch on lens to AF.
