Thank you for your feedback! I‘m pretty new to drones and still exploring their possibilities. Initially I planned to use drones as an addition to GoPro cams for actively tracking me during mountain biking or backcountry skiing. But the learning curve and/or the limitations of the drones for this use case made me think about what else can I use them for? The first thing I came up with was aerial landscape photography, which is easy in terms of flying skills required and yields perspectives often not possible from the ground (e.g. the drone can easily rise above trees to gain an unobstructed view in the mountains). Flying the drone straight up and down does little in terms of flying skills though. So how to improve on that? Flying around in the park is nice once or twice, but does not motivate enough in the long run. So that‘s when l thought about making short clips in interesting settings like junk yards. There‘s enough to see for a couple of minutes of footage and little to damage if your drone hits something. |
