As a familiar with the several Ronin setups I recently created a configuration sheet/document regarding the 'adjustment of the axis' for balancing the Ronin-S with my Canon 5D IV and most of the compatible lenses that I own. With these configurations I managed to set the Tilt/Pitch & Roll axis to 'excellent' as the result from the Ronin app 'balancing test'.
However the Pan/Yaw axis is harder to set, but this possibly has something to do with the payload (e.g. a GH5 with pancake lens might be less an issue for the Pan/Yaw motor to operate). With some of the configurations the test results prompted 'excellent' for all axis (logically not the 70-200). Yet for several (16-35, 24-70, 85) the Pan/Yaw needed to be rebalanced.
For easy reference I would like to accumulate a sheet with the correct settings. If some of you own the same setup, could you try to better the adjustment settings and leave your comments below?
PS: The settings below include the use of a 'B+W F-PRO or B+W XS-PRO UV (010) filter' the lenses marked with *F-Pro/*XS-Pro

DJI Ronin-S – Stabilize your Ronin-S
It’s possible to balance the 5D4 with the 70-200 f2.8 IS II in upright position. You’ll be able to tilt some amount (~45 degrees) but then the eyecup or the lens (front or back tilting) will bump into the Ronin-S. So there’s no going from upright to lantern orientation. However, you can start each orientation straight of from build.
The pan/stabilization of the 5D4 with the 70-200 combination is super smooth, and the focus pull is awesome! I frequently use it for a dolly zoom when riding a skateboard.
I can't get my 5dIV with 24-70/2.8 balanced. Don't have problem with 16-35/2.8 II. With the 24-70, it always seems front heavy, I can't get it right. Any suggestion?

Did you solve this dilemma? I've been having trouble with the 24-70 too.
How do you balance canon 5D mark iii with 24-70mm L lens? It seems one of the axis stay bad when I do the test in app! I have been trying to balance this for past 2 days and if doesn't work this is going back to where it came from!!! I am almost at the point where it is getting frustrating.

Sorry for the late reply, probably missed it unknowingly. I had no issues stabilising the 24-70 when locked (24mm). However since it's an outwards zooming lens, the weight shifts back and forth when you zoom in and out. Therefore the balancing isn't always on point when you stabilise the Ronin-S while having the 24-70 on lock. The Ronin-s is however strong enough to keep its nose from tilting and level.
I do have another problem with this particular setup (5DIV + EF 24-70 f./2.8 L USM II) and that's while on MF (with servo AF) pulling the focus wheel either way, slides focus from full back to full front on both focus ends. I tried every setting but nothing seems to correct it. What type of lens mk (I, II, III) are you using with the 5DIV? All my other lenses seem to work fine (8-15 fish-eye, 16-35 f./2.8 L III, 85 f./1.4 L IS II, 70-200 f./2.8 L IS II).

Unfortunately I don't own the 24-105 so I can't give you that configuration. Hopefully I will have more video assignments in the future because this 24-105 lens in particular is kind off a 'must have' lens for the RONIN S setup.
I was able to get 'excellent' rating on each axis with the 24-70 on lock (24mm), no sunhood in place nor a filter of any kind. Just the cable to the 5DIV.
However, since it's a outwards extending zoom lens, zooming the lens would obviously result in a front heavy load. But keep in mind that the motors of the Ronin S are perfectly capable of keeping the nose from tilting!
i recently have a Ronin s - i use a Canon 5Dmark iv with a Tamron 17-35mm lens. i have balanced and tested with all results being "excellent" and done the auto tune. When in 360 roll, the ronin goes completly crazy and throws the camera all around. i have balanced this thing probably 5 times now and about to use it as a paper weight.
