Are you referring to altitude/height? You might rather wish to check the drone regulations of your country.

How much battery is used to ascend/descend for 500 m? How much fight time do you get at this altitude? I always wanted to do this but afraid of losing it didn't descend...

Nice video (nicing flying too). I imagine that DJI is just complying with local laws with the restrictions, so you might want to see what those are so you're sure you're flying legal.

It is actually a good thing preventing even more stupidity.

sport mode is ur friend(only for changing altitude). with it the drone does 3.5 m/s up and 3m/s down. takes 20% to go down from 500m to 0m and vise versa

and i find it odd. nowere in the world can u just go up to 500m without doing something illegal(btw i got all my permits in place), but DJI still allows it.

so, whats the point of just setting it to 500m instead of 1000m? 500m is still waayy above ur average flyers limit anyways.

its like saying "u can only shoot one person, no more". its still illegal to shot that one person

no not at all. and no signs of moisture ether after landing and doing an inspection

You should look a bit closer. Even in Europe, some countries do not set a maximum height limit per se. Just recommendations.

Many countries set a hard limit of 100-120-150m, but the limit of 500 is there because not all the countries set the hard limits.

I think it is 120m in Sweden also. (at least, that is what I read)
Otherwise I have been violating the law many times a few weeks ago.
I did not know you could get permission to fly higher than the 'standard' maximum height  in Sweden.

If you have nerves of steel you could try restart the engines while at 120m
In theory it will start a new flight and set the current height as 'base'.
So you can get higher every restart.
BUT.
If it won't restart......
You should hope you have caching of the video ON so you still have the video of your craft falling down.
I have seen people restart their drone after a CSC....

If you had the right permits from the FAA (say for shooting a movie), you could go that high. But very few of us have any good reason for doing that as a hobby. But I get what you're saying. It's just not an absolute.

Your logic makes no sense. It would make sense if you wanted dji to reduce their ceiling to say 120 m, you keep saying you have your permits, well you won’t have them for long if your just going to flaunt the rules.
Many cars can travel at 200 kph why not limit them to 120kph , or as is your logic why not increase all cars to 200 or even 250kph .

The legal high is 120m above the ground not from the sea level. You can fly up to 500m legally by following the hillside closely. Just keep the aircraft not away from ground over 100 m.

About the height restrictions, Sweden just updated their rules on drones.
It is always best to know your Countries laws before flying.

hey, there are these things called airplanes at those altitudes. they need access to the airways without having worry about hitting UASs. Have you ever had a rock hit your windsheild? Now imagine that at 1200m in the air. The damage can results in millions of dollars if it is a commercial flight.

yea someone did that with the Pro. tbh im just better of flashing the firmware with the dumbledore tool and recompiling my own version.

after all im a programmer ;)

im not planning to do illegal things, iv got my permits all in place and plan on keeping it that way
