Thanks. Def easier to edit the gray and haze out of the stills than the video.

Nice video and stills!! IANAL but technically since you were not operating in the park and NPS doesn't have authority over the airspace above the park, you could have flown over it.

Outstanding Video.
You did an excellent job filming Alcatraz.
The stills were really good  and your editing was spot on.

Thanks for all the great comments guys. The sun is shining today and I got some great footage of Lombard St. Can't wait to edit and share it!

Yes, it was windy again today too. Very windy, very foggy city, with lots of National Park areas that I can't fly from. I did see 3 drones at Lombard St. today though.

It is the Mavic Air. I guess I was closer to Pier 43.

How far did the drone fly when you were next to Alcatraz? Did you fly 2.4 or 5ghz?

I was there a couple of years ago, but I thought this area was a no fly zone?  Wish I knew you could fly here..... maybe next time

I was far enough from Oakland and SF airport, and wasn't in any National Parks (which there are a lot off). Like a mile of beach before the Golden Gate
Bridge is National Park. There were a few helipads but I'm pretty sure you just have to be aware of them, not call in your flight. I've seen several drones while out and about in SF. Especially Lombard St. Saw 3 drones there at the same time.

I had the drone a bit over a mile out at Alcatraz. I had good reception (not sure if 2.4 or 5.8. I don't usually check that) until a couple ships started going by, then the reception turned CRAP! I brought it in pretty quick after that since I got nervous more ships would start moving and messing with my connection.
