I agree and now we need the prices to determine which one to buy.

This picture almost makes the cameras look interchangeable, which would be a definitive purchase for me.

You may be right I didn't notice that at first but the Drones look identical other than the cameras so they could possibly be interchangeable ?

From the rumors I've been seeing the prices start around $1500. Guess we will find out tomorrow though.

I can’t see buying one anytime soon. But it will be interesting to hear  from the people that purchased it.

It looks good and I'm glad DJI kept with the folding props as opposed to the non-folding of the Mavic Air.

I am very interested in both drones.
First see how they are doing in 'real usage'

Why throw money for this? Improvements over the Mavic Pro 1 -   better camera  and gimbal ,360 obstacle avoidance  ,  ocusync 2.0 , Apas and maybe a enhanced controller ? built in memory ?

The mavic pro camera is to be blunt, rubbish.
The quoted specs for the new pro look to be substantially better.

For me the worst bits of the MP were camera and fragile gimbal design.  This may well address both so im likely to throw money at it.

Dont get fooled by the Hasselblad logo, its not a Hasselblad camera per se.
Just like Hyundai is not a Ferrari cause it has a Pininfarina logo on it ;)
Still hoping for better stills and low light performance, rather than more obstacle avoidances..

Well DJI now owns Hasselblad so yes it is.  We don't know who actually MAKES the sensor or specs but it should be a huge improvement over the fairly awful mavic pro 1.

How soon does everyone think the accessories will make their way out (i.e. ND filters, enhanced charger, etc)?

I have to agree with this. I had 2 Mavic Pros and a Mavic Platinum and couldn't get decent pictures from any of them. I sent the Platinum back to DJI and they replaced the entire drone. (Not refurbed either) Between the delicacy of the gimbal and the lack of focus, I got rid of them all.

Has anyone figured out why the Mavic pro 2 is going to weigh almost 200 more grams than the Mavic Pro 1 ? maybe the bigger battery ?

But what would it change? MA has folding arms, so the props do not stick out of the body when folded. MP does not fold its arms, therefore folding props makes it smaller when packed.

Making folded props for MA does not change the folded size but adds another small layer of future problems with the folded props.

I can't see the benefit of folded props for MA.

Its funny you say that, in the first picture that got leaked out ages ago you can see what looks like a hand held gimbal thats similar to the HB camera on the Mavic 2. Look here at the bottom left.

It's a little bit disappointing, I've expected 4k60fps as todays standard.
We will see in a few hours ;)

I think folded props are easier to maintain and handle, when you have the ability to fold both props to fit over each other, it removes one end of the prop getting damaged that one needs to worry about. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the MA having non-folding props, but again with drones it's always one less thing you have to worry about that sets one apart from another.
