For me i always wait for couple of months for: ask myself do i really need it? Making decisions and saving money, for the product: flaws if it happens and it will be fixed (ex: spark battery), feedback from users pros/cons. Also the price may be down a little or wait for sale event...

I don't have a need for the M2 just yet..also I want to wait until all the bugs are worked out

Nothing wrong with my 2 MPP, and I see no reason to upgrade at this time.

Yeah, at this point,  I think I'll sit back and take a wait and see approach.  I really was hoping for 4K @ 60 in this size of a package.  We'll see... maybe they announce something about the drone that I simply can't live without...

I'm still a little undecided, manly as I just pulled the trigger on a Ronin S so might wait a few weeks before I make the plunge, but who knows temptation might get the better of me.

Hi JOHN let us know how you get on with the Ronin S, I just went to purchase this morning but they are now out of stock, no mention when it would be back in stock, would be interested what you think.

I'll have to decide if camera improvements are really enough to toss another $1400+

I've done well with the MP thus far. We also have a P4P for bigger jobs we use, and I may just go right up to Inspire line.
We'll see. Either way it won't be immediate.

Also have to see what gives with upcoming droning laws and FAA management of them. I don't see 107 changing much, but if commercial zones are created, that will certainly limit a great deal of usage here. I'm not that far from Amazon dist ctrs, so we'll see what gives.

There was no warning when I purchased the Ronin S 3 days ago, so we'll see what happens and I will of course keep you informed.  I believe there is a waiting period of 20+ days for delivery.

Cheers John, I knew about 20 day delivery, but now it’s changed to out of stock, it seems to be very popular .

Going by this poll related to Mavic Pro 2 (On launch day), voted Never.   Skip over Mavic Pro 2, and wait for something else.

Exactly. the 4K @60 was my hope. I already have a P4P so why bother?

I would rather wait for some weeks just in case there is bugs like most of the other drones that just launched

It could be months before "real" shops actually get stock anyway.

Mavic Air shipped 4 days after launch, was in stores in less than two weeks, think dji may have sorted out these problems now, so I think we will see users with these craft in their hands in less than two weeks.

Esp if the rumors of Feb production are true...

I suspect the Mavic Pro 2 will be far far more popular than the Mavic Air (which is basically a Mavic Pro Light of an existing model already out there).
Like the original Mavic it was new and had features not previously seen.  It's going to be in massive demand.

In an ideal world i'd like a Malaysian shopping mall to have them in 2 weeks when im travelling through to buy one.  Otherwise it'll have to wait 4-5 months when i can next leave the country and go there to check.

I have no need for another drone @ the moment.

Interesting vote result so far. I have voted for the first option because "wait a couple of days" was not available. Once I know all the details tomorrow, I want to think it all over for one or two days. And since I don't expect DJI to start shipping before next Monday, it should not make a big difference if I order tomorrow, on Friday or Saturday. But I want to echo other posts here assuming that shipping will start next week, DJI will definitely not repeat the desaster of the first Mavic. Launch and shipment of Air was very good, this is what I expect to happen with Mavic 2 as well.

I only have a PRO 4+, and need a "fold it up and go" platform as a backup to my PHANTOM...

Think you will see from around here some Mavic Pro users still think they are beta users after 2 years, so you could be waiting .

If I do purchase one it will be a while I will let everybody else be the guinea pig.  It’s going to be hard to beat my inspire.

For me I will probably wait some time. Unless there is a real steal deal somewhere.

In someone like your case, given you have deferred from the Mavic Pro and Mavic Air, it would make more sense for you to upgrade than someone like me who had purchased their Mavic Pro just this past March. I probably see myself reverting to a Phantom 4 Pro ver. 2.0 than likely to a Mavic 2 Zoom/Pro?

I don’t beleive you can compare I2 with a drone that’s going to cost less than quarter of the cost of I2, I’m sure many will try but that’s not to be taking seriously, maybe as an aircraft and camera we can compare to Inspire 1, which I believe like P4 will be phased out soon.

I am very keen to show my latest work, but will first need to edit all and ask for permission from the Swedish government, but it is nothing short but AMAZING.
I am so thrilled how well the MP delivered.

Yeah, they are quite popular among commercial users. It's not really a hobby drone.

I also have TY-H and love the rotating camera options. With MP's you can't do that, so it might be time to reassess my needs. I still get great usable footage from MP. Is a step above that in MP2 going to marginal or ZOMG I have to buy it now?  IDK. Advantage of drone clubs is access to many many drones. There are some great ones in the competition as well. There are others that again are marginal steps forward, but may have other features needed... ie 180 deg tilt camera. For my work, that is quite usable. You can use a drone to do upward facing shots. I can use that for music videos, weddings, etc.

So, yeah, I'm on the fence balancing current needs vs simple GAS for a replacement upgrade in gear I already have that still works.

Use a drone for upward facing shots.

You need anaffi, or matrice 200 which camera can be mounted on top, one is €600, other is with camera on top €20,000, for weddings anaffi might be the one your looking for.

I have sold off everything but my  Mavic Air. I already have a reservation in with my Dealer for a M2 Pro.
I got the Mavic Air as soon as it was released and have had no problems with it at all.
Hope this roll out is as smooth.

I may wait a while as I have had a Mavic Pro since launch and I am still really enjoying it ....  I think my son will eventually get my current Mavic Pro and I will take the upgrade

Waiting for a few weeks then jumping on the band wagon.   

I have a friend buying one, so I'm good for while!!  I'll compare my MPP with it and post vids!!

What really happened when it was delayed, was it something big that DJI did not want to expose? is the problem going to be inherited to this release? really kind of leary about this.

Who knows, maybe we might find out tomorrow, don’t think we will ever see a perfect release of a drone.

Very true, hopefully it was just a software problem and not a hardware that was "duct tape" to fix and release.
